The project “A Walk Through Time” (“A Spasso nel Tempo – Restauro, riqualificazione, valorizzazione e digitalizzazione del patrimonio storico/culturale espressione della storia del Parte Montis”), which sees Pompu as the common leader and Masullas as partners, is co-financed by the Ministry of Culture through the “Fondo Cultura”. The two towns intend to enhance their heritage through advanced organizational forms capable of generating a shared local development process.

The proposal is based on the strong concept of ​​generating a virtuous relationship between the quality of local services and the ability to re-innovate the local social and economic productive framework, acting on unitary and integrated valorisation. The strategy has a general objective, which is linked to the achievement of two specific objectives which can be summarised as follows:

General objective: Reduction of the gap between internal areas (Parte Montis) and more developed areas in terms of job opportunities and supply of services for production systems.

Specific objective 1: To improve the attractiveness and competitiveness of the tourist-cultural system of Parte Montis;

Specific objective 2: Involving the community in the processes of valorisation and promotion of the assets belonging to the historical and cultural heritage of the Parte Montis.

Considering the objectives set by the project, the expected results can be summarized as follows:

• development of real economies linked to the enhancement of cultural and environmental heritage and to support the growth of businesses and organizations (including the third sector) in the cultural sector;
• activation of processes and paths to involve citizens in the enhancement and promotion of assets belonging to the historical and cultural heritage of the Parte Montis;
• increase in the attractiveness of the cultural offer and in the demand for use, understood both in precise terms as an increase in visitors to state-owned cultural sites subject of intervention, and in broader terms of strengthening the territorial offer, therefore of the more general increase of tourist and cultural use.
